Zebris Gait Analysis Treadmill
Zebris 3D Gait Analysis is an advanced movement assessment that provides detailed, objective data on how you walk or run.
Using pressure sensors and motion analysis technology, the system measures foot loading, step patterns, balance and movement efficiency in real time. This allows our clinicians to identify biomechanical factors that may contribute to pain, injury risk or reduced performance.
At Power Potential, Zebris is used to guide personalised treatment, rehabilitation, footwear advice and performance optimisation.
Why It Matters for You
The way you walk or run influences how forces travel through your feet, ankles, knees, hips and lower back. A detailed gait assessment can help:
- Identify abnormal loading or movement patterns
- Determine potential causes of recurring pain or injury
- Improve movement efficiency and running technique
- Reduce injury risk and support recovery
- Guide orthotic prescription or footwear recommendations
- Track progress throughout rehabilitation or training
How It Works
The Zebris system uses a pressure-sensing treadmill or walkway to capture precise movement data, including:
- Foot pressure distribution and contact patterns
- Step length, cadence and left-to-right symmetry
- Weight transfer and balance
- Timing and phases of the gait cycle
Real-time visual feedback can also be used to assist with gait retraining and technique improvement during the assessment.
What to Expect During Your Session
- A walking or running assessment on the Zebris platform or treadmill
- Real-time visual feedback where appropriate
- A detailed report outlining key movement and loading patterns
- Results explained by a clinician
- Individualised recommendations, which may include:
- Strength and mobility exercises
- Technique or gait retraining
- Footwear advice
- Custom orthotics if required
Is Zebris 3D Gait Analysis Right for You?
Zebris gait analysis may be beneficial if you:
- Are a runner or athlete wanting to improve efficiency or performance
- Experience foot, ankle, knee, hip or lower back pain
- Are recovering from a lower limb injury or surgery
- Have recurrent or unexplained movement-related issues
- Require assessment for orthotics or biomechanical correction
