Foot Posture & Biomechanical Assessment
A Foot Posture and Biomechanical Assessment evaluates how your feet function and how your movement patterns influence the way your body loads during standing, walking and running.
At Power Potential, our clinicians assess foot structure, alignment and pressure distribution to identify biomechanical factors that may contribute to pain, injury or reduced movement efficiency. As the feet form the foundation of movement, small imbalances can influence the ankles, knees, hips and lower back.
This assessment helps guide targeted treatment, footwear advice, exercise programs or orthotic prescription where required.
Why It Matters for You
Poor foot mechanics and abnormal loading patterns can contribute to pain, overuse injuries and reduced performance. A detailed assessment can help to:
- Identify the underlying cause of foot, heel or arch pain
- Detect abnormal loading or pressure patterns
- Reduce the risk of injury and recurrence
- Improve alignment and movement efficiency
- Support performance in walking, running and sport
What to Expect During Your Session
- Clinical assessment of foot posture, alignment and joint mobility
- Gait and movement analysis during walking or running
- Pressure and load distribution assessment using advanced technology (such as Zebris 3D gait analysis where appropriate)
- Individualised recommendations, which may include:
- Strength and mobility exercises
- Footwear guidance
- Load management strategies
- Referral for custom orthotics if indicated
Is a Foot Posture & Biomechanical Assessment Right for You?
This assessment may be beneficial if you:

- Have ankle, knee, hip or lower back pain linked to movement or loading
- Are a runner or athlete wanting to improve efficiency or reduce injury risk
- Spend long periods standing or walking for work
- Are being considered for orthotics or biomechanical correction
